Hi, I’m Yadriz, the proud owner and lead stylist at Highlighted By Yadriz Beauty Salon. My passion for beauty and making people feel good about themselves started when I was just a kid—and it’s what drives me every day.

A Dream From the Start

When I was in third grade, we had an assignment asking, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" My answer was simple: a cosmetologist and a psychologist. At the time, I didn’t know it, but that would be the path I’d follow in life.

At 13, my mom worked at a salon, and I’d spend my Saturdays there learning and practicing with doll heads. I was fascinated by everything—how a simple haircut or style could change a person’s entire look and energy. That curiosity led me to sign up for a tech school, and by 18, I had my stylist license in hand.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

After finishing school, I moved to Puerto Rico, where I worked doing hair services at clients' homes as my sole source of income. During this time, I pursued my Bachelor’s degree and later earned my Master’s degree in Psychological Counseling, all while working at a salon for five years. Balancing my education and passion for cosmetology taught me the importance of connecting with people on a deeper level and truly understanding their needs.

Later, I returned to Pennsylvania to complete my Cosmetology Instructor’s license—allowing me to share my knowledge and skills with others.

Turning My Childhood Dream Into Reality

Moving back to Pennsylvania gave me the opportunity to finally make my childhood dream a reality. I realized that I could open my own salon and create a space where I could connect with people, offer my expertise, and help others feel beautiful both inside and out.

And so, Highlighted By Yadriz was born.

For me, beauty isn’t just about how someone looks—it’s about how they feel. That’s why I’m committed to offering services that are not only about enhancing your appearance but also about making you feel confident and empowered. Whether you’re coming in for a simple haircut or a complete color transformation, my goal is to highlight the natural beauty in every client that sits in my chair.
